Youth Education/Captain Trips

This excursion is focused on assisting the client, from operating the trolling motor to making informed decisions throughout the day, and understanding the rationale behind those choices. It is advisable for clients to bring various rods, already rigged for the season, to review and discuss configurations. This practice enables an in-depth conversation about their setups, including the rationale behind our rigging methods, such as the choice of line types or sizes, rod actions, and reel speeds.

Such trips can offer enrichment for both the parent and the youth, as well as for their boat captain. There are many unwritten rules about ethics and respect on the water that nobody is teaching these days that need to be passed on to further our sport. We can offer guidance on these things whether fishing high school tournament or just fun fishing. The objective of these trips is to ensure that the client becomes a more skilled and ethical angler and steward of the sport.
